A playful and subtle reinterpretation of a typical kilim. Look carefully and you’ll fund Pac-Man and the Ghost Gang hidden in the tree of life, among the Cossack soldiers, villagers and flowers.
Design, yarn dying and weaving are done entirely by hand using traditional vertical carpet weaving techniques in the Olk Manufactura workshop in Kyiv, Ukraine founded by Oksana Levchenya. The base of the kilim (warp) is hemp thread and the weave (weft) is made of dyed natural wool from Carpathian Mountain sheep or vegetable yarn from nettles.
Can be displayed as a carpet or wall tapestry
