A playful and subtle reinterpretation of a typical kilim. Look carefully and you’ll find valiant space soldiers among the Kossaks.
Design, yarn dying and weaving are done entirely by hand using traditional vertical carpet weaving techniques in the Olk Manufactura workshop in Kyiv, Ukraine founded by Oksana Levchenya. The base of the kilim (warp) is hemp thread and the weave (weft) is made of dyed natural wool from Carpathian Mountain sheep or vegetable yarn from nettles.
Can be used as a carpet or wall tapestry
